The Tru-Bal Stinger Bowie is the culmination of more than 40 years of knife making and throwing.
It is the finest knife of its type ever offered to America’s sportsmen, and four decades of experience went into designing this superb weapon.
The “Stinger” blends both form and function unlike any other throwing knife. The deep notch and finger guard at the base of the blade give the “Stinger” a distinct but attractive appearance. And yet the knife is specially designed to be hurled by the blade or the handle equally well.
This knife is one of only two Tru-Bal knifes that have a comfortable anatomic handle, which makes it easy to hold and throw. Few people own the Stinger Bowie, so you can be proud knowing that you own a truly unique knife.
The “Stinger” is 13 1/2″ overall, 2″ wide, 3/16″ thick, and weighs 15 ounces. It is the perfect length and weight for maximum control and accuracy.
This all-purpose hunting, camping, survival, and throwing knife is built to withstand a lifetime of rugged use.
Durable leather sheath and throwing instructions included.
This knife is brand new from the factory. It is handmade by Stephen D. McEvoy, son of the founder of the Tru-Balance Knife Company, Harry K. McEvoy.
This knife was hand-made by Harry K. McEvoy, founder of the Tru-Balance Knife Company. I bought it from him in the early 1980’s.
I took his standard leather sheath apart and rebuilt it to form-fit the Bowie-Axe. I added custom fringe and a nice basket-weave design.
