Model No. 70 Tru-Balâ„¢ Classic PRO-THROW Knife by Stephen D. McEvoy

Is this the most copied throwing knife in the world?

Harry E. McEvoy’s original design has been duplicated by knife makers all over the world. And the knife itself has been in use for nearly 40 years straight.

And yet in spite of its popularity, Harry’s son Stephen McEvoy decided he could make it even better. And that’s exactly what he did.

In this newly revised version, The Tru-Bal Classic Pro-Throw has a slightly thinner blade and smooth lines.

Perfectly balanced, this knife can be hurled equally well by the handle or the blade. Accurate throws are this knife’s specialty.

The Classic Pro-Throw is handcrafted of super-tough tempered spring steel. Jet black vulcanized fiber handle slabs with heavy rivets complete the ensemble.

It is 13 1/2″ overall, 2″ wide, 3/16″ thick and weighs 15 ounces.

Sturdy leather sheath and throwing instructions included.

This knife is brand new from the factory. It is handmade by Stephen D. McEvoy, son of the founder of the Tru-Balance Knife Company, Harry K. McEvoy.

Tru-Bal gets a lot of requests for their old Model No. 1, which they no longer make and Stephen told me he doesn’t understand why because the Model No. 70 is a superior knife that throws better than the old Model No. 1.
