in Blog, Model No. 11 CIRCUS THROWER
I acquired this pair of Tru-Bal Model No. 11 CIRCUS THROWERS in 2009 from a gentleman who first posted them in a comment on this site. He wanted to know what they were and eventually we were able to make a trade for an undisclosed (but large) number of new Tru-Bal throwing knives. Something I [...]

in Blog, Tru-Bal Battle Bowies, Tru-Bal One-Of-A-Kind Throwers
This knife came from Bobby Branton’s collection. I bought it from Dave Jester. Though there are several others in his collection that have the same blade shape this is a one-of-a-kind version with stag handles.

in Blog, Model No. 2 BOWIE-AXE
This is a Tru-Bal Bowie-Axe that came from the factory without handles. It is fairly rare though I’ve seen a couple come up on eBay over the years.

in Blog, Tru-Bal Shurikan Throwers
I picked up this pair of Tru-Bal shurikan throwers on eBay a while back. You see these come up once-in-a-while so I’m pretty sure that Harry McEvoy has made at least a handful of them over the years. They are small and very fun to throw by the handle. They are sharp but I can [...]

in Blog, Model No. 1 PROFESSIONAL, Model No. 3 THROWING BOWIE, Model No. 82 INDIAN LANCEHEAD, Tru-Balance Knife Company Catalogs
In 1984 Harry McEvoy struck a deal to sell off two or three models from the Tru-Balance Knife Company to a company in Oklahoma called Tru-Bal West. The models they took over from Harry were the Model No. 1 PROFESSIONAL, the Model No. 3 THROWING BOWIE and a modified Model No. 80 SUPER-PRO with the [...]

in Blog, Model No. 91 STINGER BOWIE, My Personal Collection of Harry K. McEvoy Throwing Knives
Stephen McEvoy told me that this is an early version of the Model No. 91 Stinger Bowie throwing knife made by Harry McEvoy in late 1991 or early 1992 at the latest. Sometimes Harry would put serial numbers on the first 50 but certainly not more than 100 knives when he released a new model. [...]

in Blog, Model No. 44 BATTLE MASTER, My Personal Collection of Harry K. McEvoy Throwing Knives
The Tru Bal Model No. 44 Battle Master came along after I stopped selling Tru-Bal knives the first time. So to fill in the gap in my collection I purchased this knife from a collector in 2011. He had purchased it from Bobby Branton earlier when he sold out his Tru-Bal collection.

in Blog, Model No. 8 PRO-MASTER, My Personal Collection of Harry K. McEvoy Throwing Knives
In 1983 I received the new Tru-Bal catalog but unfortunately by that time I had started to move on to other things and so I was not able to purchase this model or the new Model No. 83 SUPER-PRO (same knife, no handles) that came out that year. So to fill in the gap in [...]

For your enjoyment and edification I present to you the 1983-1984 Tru-Balance Knife Company catalog that Harry K. McEvoy sent to me when I was young whippersnapper selling knives to make my way through college:
